As a result the Government has made changes to encourage people to save for retirement, so they don’t have to rely on the State Pension alone when they no longer work.
The Pensions Act 2008 introduced Automatic Enrolment. This means employers have a duty to automatically enrol most workers into a workplace pension scheme that meets standards set by the Government.
